Professional History
Jason’s career background includes, in the early 1990s, acquiring a CPA license in New York while working for Kenneth Leventhal & Co, the top real estate accounting firm in the US, also known as the “gilded sweatshop.” With the plan to become an estate attorney, Jason graduated with honors from Fordham Law School and passed the New York Bar exam.
In 1997, instead of practicing law, he jumped into the Internet and launched MagMall.com to provide magazine and newspaper subscription services to individuals and companies. He was an early adopter of search engine optimization and B2B relationship nurturing. He used these skills extensively to attract marquis clients like Google, The Gap, Nike, CAA, ICM, The Hair Cuttery, Goodyear, and Firestone.
In 2003, Jason purchased the shopping cart technology that powered his subscription service and he opened an ecommerce website development company with presence in Moscow, Tel-Aviv, and Los Angeles. That company – www.adrecom.net – now competes with behemoth companies like Shopify and Magento. Adrecom has worked with notable brands such as Nicole Miller, Line6, Lobster Sports, and Idesco Safety.
